You will be picked up at the Lima airport and after
spending a night in Lima, you'll visit Machu Picchu
and enjoy an extra day to explore the ruins by your
own ( second day entrance fees not included ). Also
visit Cusco and the Sacred Valley of the Incas with
its markets and ruins. The Hotel will be one of the

DAY 1
LIMA
Pick up upon arrival at the Lima airport, transfer
to Boulevard Hotel (or similar) and overnight.
DAY 2
CUSCO
You will be picked up from your hotel in Lima
early in the morning, transfer to the airport
where you'll take the flight to Cuzco (airfare
included) .
Pick up upon arrival at "Velazco Astete"
Cusco airport, transfer to Picoaga Hotel(or similar).
In the afternoon we will take the City tour visiting:
the Main Square, the Cathedral, its extremely
sober renaissance facade contrast with the baroque
and plateresque style of its interior, and Koricancha,
a famous temple dedicated to the Sun. Then, visit
to the nearby ruins: Kenko, ancient ceremonial
center dedicated to the earth; Puca Pucara, administrative
and military center; Tambomachay, important place
of worship dedicated to water and the fortress
of Sacsayhuaman, cyclopean fortress built for
the defense of Cusco. Return to the hotel. Overnight
(B).
DAY 3
SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS
At 8:45 a.m. we will depart for the Sacred Valley
tour, that includes: Bus service to the market
of Pisaq, visits to Calca, Urubamba, the ruins
of Ollantaytambo, and the market at Chinchero.
There is an English speaking guide and lunch in
a typical restaurant in Urubamba. Of course, throughout
this trip you will have magnificent views of the
high Peruvian Andes. Return to Cusco and overnight
at Picoaga Hotel (or similar). (B, L)
DAY 4
MACHU PICCHU (overnight)
All day excursion by train to Machu Picchu. At
5:45 am you will leave the hotel to the station
to take the 6:00 am train. Travel is in "Vistadome"
Class (formerly "Autowagon"). At 9:40
a.m., you will arrive at the Aguas Calientes Station,
from where you take a 20 minute bus ride to the
ruins of Machu Picchu. Once there, you will have
a guided tour, with an English speaking professional
guide. The ruins are on the eastern slope of Machu
Picchu in two separate arcas: the agricultural
and the urban. Lunch at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary
Lodge (included). Overnight at the Pueblo Hotel
(or similar). (B,L)
DAY 5
MACHU PICCHU /
CUSCO
Morning at leisure to explore the are by your
own (entrance fee and transportation not included).
At 3:05pm we will take the train back to Cusco
,arriving at 7:05pm, upon arrival transfer to
Picoaga Hotel (or similar). (B)
DAY 6
CUSCO / LIMA
Transfer from hotel to the airport for your return
flight back to Lima (airfare included) (B).
